Consulting
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a business project, not an IT project. Choosing and implementing ERP software is only part of what needs to be done.
We begin by focusing on process improvements. ERP implementations and employee training are designed to drive those improvements and achieve alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
For ERP projects to succeed, they must be endorsed and driven by C-level executives. That's why Omnion focuses on providing process value assessments, IT planning assistance and implementation expertise to C-level executives.
Process Improvements
Naturally, we have a proven process that we use to improve your processes. For information about our process-improvement deliverables, click here.
Omnion Consulting uses tested methodologies and tools based on Lean Manufacturing, TQM® and Route Cause to analyze and improve business processes. It begins with a Quick Assessment - an expedited review of a process or processes. Next, we create an "as is" process map, indicating what improvements can or should be made. We may also create a digital video to document the "as is" process.
Using leading-practice benchmarks, we baseline your current processes to determine areas most in need of improvement, then we analyze that data, and establish and implement new processes. Finally, we establish methods to monitor and control key variables to ensure that improvements are sustained.
The resulting changes eliminate waste and align business processes with customer demands.

Implementations
Omnion's expertise is in the implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite. Unlike other ERP solutions, the Oracle E-Business Suite is fully integrated, scalable and highly configurable. As a result, it can be used as easily by middle-market companies as it can by large companies. Because it is fully integrated and scalable, you can start with just what you need today and add on as your business grows. You can buy and implement just the modules that are most important to you today and then add additional modules at a future date, based on your business needs and budget. Because it is configurable, it can be adapted for use by many different types of companies.
Pre-Implementation
During the pre-implementation phase, we review existing IT systems, define project goals and objectives, choose specific modules, and develop realistic schedules and budgets. We also review all processes to determine where improvements need to be made.

Project and Program Management
Project and program management assistance is provided as needed to support individual projects and programs.
With competing demands for resources, middle market companies often lack the necessary internal talent and funding necessary to establish a project management office (PMO), which is needed to coordinate multiple projects and keep those projects on track. They may need assistance managing and coordinating deliverables, internal and external resources (some of which may be based remotely), and technical issues.
Omnion provides its clients with project managers and program managers who have many years of experience. They will keep your demanding projects and programs on schedule and within your budget.
Custom Extensions
Omnion's library of custom code and development expertise can be valuable for clients who need extensions that further enable the functionality of the software. We have existing custom extensions to the Oracle applications that are commonly required and highly sought-after, but require limited development time, including: |
| • |
|
Self-service online views for managing sales order backlogs
|
| • |
Export documentation |
| • |
Workflow |
| • |
